Asset Store Package Preview not working for newer assets

One of the reasons we prefer purchasing assets in the asset store is the transparency and detail given with the “Package Content” feature.

However, we notice that this feature doesn’t work with many of the newer assets published in the store.

Here is an example;

Click Textures and select any texture and it shows a placeholder instead. Same happens with model/material and etc.

We would like to see if the texture space is used efficiently. For example, this model is just like we needed and we purchased this a few years ago. I made the purchase after noticing the efficient texture use.

Then I suppose it was updated with Unity 6, and I guess it lost the texture previews after that update.

Here is how its texture looks like, which made us purchase the model thats intended to be used in environment at further distances.

Without this feature, for us the Unity Asset Store loses its advantage. Please fix this as soon as possible.

Hi @Meceka! Thanks for sharing.
The issue with the content preview is known but there is no ETA at the moment. If there are updates, I will try to update the thread with some new info.

UPD: I contacted the relevant team and they confirmed that the change is planned so the fix will be there at some point.

UPD #2: the Asset Store Tools fix is in prod so the assets uploaded with the v12+ should have the previews now.
