Asset Store : Pending review for 22 days

Hello

I submitted an asset to the Asset Store on 7th of november.

The doc says to expect a review time of 10 days, but it’s not 22 days and it’s still in “Pending Review” state.
I wonder if I made something wrong or if it’s just in queue due to a big amount of submission this month.

Best regards.

Hey! Could be the team was a big swamped due to Unite Los Angeles happening, or a glitch in the system (unfortunately, this has happened before.) Let me ping them and see what’s up.

Hi @Draad ,
What is the name of your publisher account or the package that is in review? Feel free to either post here or PM me.

Hello @Buhlaine and @SaraCecilia ,

Thanks for taking care of me.
My asset is named Fair Random, and my publisher name is Pradeilles Thomas.

Best regards.

Thanks a lot for your support.
Have a nice day.

(The plugin was released today.)

As a note, the Asset Store team has seen an increase in package submissions recently. This can lead to longer queue times on occasion so please be patient. The team actually got to your package before we got to them!

I also submitted an asset to the Asset Store on Dec 16, 2016, now it still has pending review status. But i will try to wait until it has been reviewed.

Thanks!

Hi,
I submitted a package on the 4th of December and its still pending. I understand if the delay was due to new Beta versions of unity 2018 and important dates like Christmas in the month if December.

My package has been pending for review for over a month (precisely 32 days).
If you could look into this issue that would be great.

P.S - I have about 4 more packages pending. Dates submitted : 14 Dec ,15 Dec , 3 Jan, 3 Jan.

Thank You,
AD

The Asset Store team has been busy with the holidays. If you want to DM me with your package names I can confirm they are in the queue properly.

Thank you for looking into this issue.
Names of my assets:
Realistic Sports Car HD ,(4 Dec)
Realistic Sports Car HD 2 ,(14 Dec)
Realistic Vintage Car (1930s) , (15Dec)

Hey there,

Looking at the queue of assets, I can see that you currently have five different models waiting for review. You should hear back shortly from the ones submitted in December. The winter season seemed to stretch that team fairly thin, but they are working to get caught back up ASAP.

Thanks,
Blaine

@Buhlaine :

Hi,

Been waiting a while already for a Unity asset I uploaded to get added to the store. Found this thread today. Basically wrote scripts that add important functionality to the Gear VR controller that oculus conceptually should have added. Hoping to sell a bunch of copies this weekend and next week to boost the cash flow for rent next month.

Thanks in advance for having a look and making sure it’s getting on the store before the weekend.

Publisher Name is GODHEAD INC
Asset title is: GEAR VR CONTROLLER FAST AND EASY

Sigh…any update?

Guys don’t worry, asset store team makes sure that if your asset is worth being on the store, it definitely will be in max 1 month. Have patience. Their average time is more or less 20 days depending on the complexity of your asset.

Actually, seems there was a moron (or a bot) reviewing the asset. The scripts are an addon to the oculus utilities and the person (or was it a bot???) emailed saying that I should add an example scene. HOW to add an example scene when it’s seemingly not legal to include the oculus utilities in the asset!!!

Honestly seemed as though it was either a VERY lazy or simply unqualified Unity employee on the asset store review team that either simply doesn’t know scripting well enough to be on that team, or was too lazy to review the asset properly.

Honestly sorta concerned that Unity may be outsourcing the asset store review team…because usually that sort of laziness and ineptitude is usually blatantly an outsourced employee in india or similar.

If Unity has started outsourcing to india, I will likely start using Unreal.

Anyway, to any Gear VR people that would like an affordable asset to make it easy to add walking and grabbing/carrying/throwing to the Gear VR controller:
I tried to put it on the asset store. Sadly a bad employee at Unity interfered. Honestly was insulting enough to wait weeks for it to get reviewed. Then to see the ridiculous response was so insulting that I may simply do an insult back by not going through the hassle of putting this golden asset on the store. These capabilities aren’t part of what oculus provides…which is also ridiculous, yet that’s how it is.

Imagine a bunch of low quality kiddie grade fanart style models made it through the review process the same day…sigh…is Unity going downhill as a company or is it only certain teams???

Put some people that know Unity scripting and understand 3rd party licensing issues on the asset store team!!! (and not simply some outsourced employee in india that learned C# because of microsoft outsourcing!!!)

Hi there, i have updated my package to 1.2 and it was accepted in 2 days but I forgot to change the name. after that I changed the name and now 20 days have passed again. Does a name change take longer than normal?
My publisher name is Dr. Bean and my asset is Sci Fi food pack.
Thx in advance

One of my assets, which is only a major upgrade of an existing asset:

after 53 days so far still stays in the pending review state.

It contains new features suggested by users, so they also are missing, because they can’t use them.
The prospective users would probably more likely buy the updated asset.
I hope it would get reviewed sometime in the end.

Is this a frequent issue with in-store publishing? I have the same

@Buhlaine and @SaraCecilia my asset Word Master - The Word Game has been pending since 37+ days please look into it and let me know. I had submitted on July 08 2023
