Asset Store Submission Question.

Hi there,

I want to submit an entire project of mine but I don’t understand how exactly do we submit actual content to the store.
I downloaded the Asset Tools into my project.
I created publisher account, filled in all the information, selected my assets folder and the “main showcase” type of assets as it says for the preview.
But i don’t understand how my actual assets are to be submitted. If i click “submit” then where’s the connection between that and my actual project? Do i have to create a package that contains my entire project and upload it on separately afterwards? Please help guys.

You can select the folder and the Asset Store Tool takes care of the upload. It creates a unitypackage for you.

oh awesome then!
Is it a problem if the AssetStoreTools folder is in there?

No. You can write them a note as one of the next steps. I always include a few lines that they should remove the Asset Store Tool folder.

The asset store tool folder isn’t included anyway.

That has changed in that case. I remember that one of my assets was published including the Asset Store Tool folder. That looked kind of funny

I am a little unclear on this myself having never submitted anything (although I will shortly).

So let’s say I want to submit an entire project (in my case a complete game). I don’t just want to submit assets and scripts, but also have things like the project settings as well (collision matrix, layers, tags and physics/timing settings). In this case, what do I submit…the Assets folder? Will the uploader also suck out my project settings etc?

Thanks in advance for any guidance on this.

That should answer your question:
