For some treatments Unity request specific directories, which should be placed in the root directory of the project such as Plugins (for C #, Javascript compatibility) Gizmos etc …
But when using the tool package asset store you can only choose one directory. We are therefore obliged to put everything in one single directory, and explain in the doc that the user must move some folder to the root.
Do you have a trick to avoid this? (to that these directories is properly placed on the importation of package)
I dont know if its automatic or not. So I always notify the AS reviewer that “that is the Assets folder”.
Dunno if the reviewer removes AS Tools before releasing the package. But works for me
I love it when they make updates and don’t notify anyone about it. When they made a huge change to the asset store tools, there was no way to select the Assets folder (or my package was rejected). I was told that it HAS to be in the description that the Gizmos folder has to be moved to the root folder manually.
I think it is high time to start an Asset Store tips and tricks thread!
