Audible "pop" when transitioning to a snapshot with highpass-Cutoff freq

I’m transitioning between audio mixer snapshots to create the effect of our music coming out of a radio. Since updating (we used to be on 5.0.2f) to 5.6 i’m finding that whenever this transition begins there seems to be an audible popping sound. It seems to be specifically linked to the cutoff freq variable in highpass. I’ve seen some suggestions of extending the transition time but that doesn’t seem to resolve the problem much.

has anyone else had this problem or found a way around it? At this point i’m considering removing the feature entirely as the pop is quite jarring. Thanks!

I’m curious, if you increase the transition time then does the pop only occur when the transition starts? Or does it pop throughout the transition?

also important is how did you make the transition. there are different ways you can do that. Instead of manipulating the filter directly, you can also make a send receive setup and just crossfade between them:

important is that you send and receive the signal before the attenuation, that way you can keep the main fader (Music) closed

now send the signal fully to the other two receivers (Normal and Split to Filter).
The AudioSources output can be set to music now and you can crossfade between Normal and Filtered. In this case the fader (Music acts as a splitter) and doesnt need to be touched. Yeah I know the labelling of the faders is a bit confusing… sorry about that

hope this helped a bit
