"Audio source failed to initialize audio spatializer" when trying to use the Microsoft Spatializer

Hey everyone,

We've setup a Windows Mixed Reality with an HPReverb G2 based on the Windows Mixed Reality Toolkit examples. We have OpenXR using the Windows Mixed Reality feature group.

In the project audio settings, we have the Microsoft Spatializer set.

However, whenever se set an audio source to use spatialization we get:

"Audio source failed to initialize audio spatializer. Please check that the project audio settings and make sure that the selected spatializer is compatible with the target."

The dlls are set to use any platform, and I can't find any information for why this is failing.

Any ideas on how to get this working?

Same problem with hololens 2 and openxr in the unity editor, on device sounds will place once and never again
