Audio. (Unity 5)

Hey guys,

Look, i’ve seen all the changes from Unity 4 to 5 on how you can select a sound from 2D to 3D with the sliders, but I still cannot get MonoDevelop to recognize anything to do with ‘audio.play’ or ‘audio.clip’. I’ve tried typing at the top of my scripts ‘using UnityEngine.Audio;’ but it still does nothing. Can anyone please explain the difference between the ‘AudioClip’ and the ‘AudioSource’ Reference because it makes absolutely no sense in the editor.

All I want is to be able to play a sound (wav. file - works fine) when a triggered event happens and I am really struggling to do this - could someone help me please or give an example with Unity 5, would be greatly appreciated, thanks :slight_smile:
