Audio waveform to variable

Can Unity3D define a value/variable as the waveform of an audio file?


If I understand your question correctly, you want direct access to the waveform data of an audioclip in Unity? The short answer is no. Of course, you could add the functionality by writing a plugin.

To get around this, you can process the wave externally (i.e. using FlashAmp) to get an array of values that you can then read in and compare to AudioSource.time as the clip plays to trigger events.
