Auditing history of downloads by users in Plastic SCM repository

Hi,

I’m an admin on my team’s Plastic SCM Cloud repository. We’ve had a legal situation arise: users who were not supposed to have access to our codebase were given access, resulting in potential release of proprietary information to several users not affiliated with our organization (a user on our team provided the access when they shouldn’t have.)

I’m trying to understand the full extent of the information disclosed- is there a way to audit when a user downloaded the repo?

There’s documentation on how to view changes to files in the repository via the CLI in the link below, but in our case we’re interested in reporting on downloads instead of uploads.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi,

If you are using an on-prem server then auditing can be configured on the server, but unfortunately, auditing user’s downloads is not currently available for Cloud.

If you want recent data, the support team may be able to disclose how many users, and how much they have downloaded for the current billing period, but no specifics on which repository/data was downloaded.

Hope this helps!
