Augmented Reality in real world scale and position

Have recently had some success creating “Augmented Reality” app using Unity and the plugin “Vuforia” to display 3d models of projects over specified image targets. The problem I am contacting you about is I have been asked to make an AR app that can display a model at real world scale in real world co-ordinates on an android or iOS phone or tablet. After doing a bit of research online I can’t find anyone that has previously done this or how I would go about it.

Does anyone have an idea of how we could accomplish this or at least what programs/plugins could work?

Have you considered a point cloud or 3d photogrammetry?

All geolocation AR suggestions always point to WikiTude, but never had change to test it yet…

Hi David,

Have been able to achieve this? I’m looking for a way to do something very similar for a project were I have to place a real world scale construction on a site and be able to visualize it with a tablet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Pablo
