Auto build stops working

Looks like auto build no longer gets triggered by Perforce changes since yesterday. All three of my build targets have auto-build set to true and they were working just the day before.

Is anyone else seeing the same problem?

Hello,

I can see one of your build targets (5X-Android) is disabled. This means that auto-build is turned off, and it won’t be built when selecting ‘Build All’.

Is this the build target you’re referring to?

  • Sophia

That’s disabled on purpose after my initial post.

The other two active builds aren’t auto building. I have to manually launch them after check ins.

I submitted a bug report relating to this issue. Hope to get this resolved soon.

Hello @sillyplayground ,

Thank you for submitting a bug report

How long do you usually wait before you start a build manually?

  • Sophia

Long enough. For instance, I checked in a change 15 mins ago and it still hasn’t been triggered yet.

I created two auto build targets last night with the same perforce configuration, and they didn’t work either.

Hello,

Just letting you know that we are still looking into your issue. I’ll keep you updated!

Hello,

We’re looking into a fix for this. We don’t have an immediate solution, other than changing how your p4 is configured (which we understand isn’t always doable!)

Hello,

another update!

This should actually be fixed for your project now. If you create a new build target, you may run into the issue again (for that target) but we’re working on fixing that.

Your current build targets should be triggering auto-build correctly now

Let me know if you run into any issues!

Can you describe how it’s related to my p4 configuration? What settings can be changed so I won’t encounter the same bug again if I set up new build targets?

Hello,

Sorry, that was a mistake on our part. You config was actually fine, it was just a bug on our end that changed the data in an unexpected way.

New targets will work correctly after the fix is deployed (next couple of weeks) but in the meantime, we can manually fix up new ones for you if you need us too.

Hope that helps!
