I consider myself to be fairly pragmatic when it comes to software prices, but even I can’t see where they’re going with these numbers. Judging by the blurb, they’re targetting big studios who can pass the monthly ad hoc costs on to clients. Even so… sad
It’s still way too expensive for hobbyists of course, but I guess the prices aren’t so bad compared to wages and other expenses an average size company would have to pay.
It’s not, if you’ve got the work coming in and need seats as and when; I just wasn’t speaking from that perspective. For individuals, 2% is a fair amount when you’re getting into the thousands. Digressing, as it’s moot (aimed at studios).
To put it another way though, which reflects my personal reaction: the annual prices are a bit much without a monthly sub. I’d have been interested in an ultimate suite, but not when you’ve got to pay the entire year’s sub up front.
