Background music sound "glitch"

Hey, im working on a fps horror game and everything was working fine until I put in my background ambient music. It is a 2d sound and for some reason while playing the music there will be small “glitchy” sounds in between random intervals. This is not part of the music nor is it my earphones because I have checked both. This is very confusing and very frustrating please help! Thanks again.

The original file does not clip? My only suggestion is digital clipping. Make sure the recording is mixed, and leveled appropriately.

How do you check? Thanks for your help

Edit no the original file does not clip nor does the audio. The sound doent jut cut off, it plays a sound of its own like I said some sort of “glitchy” sound. Any ideas?

No, sorry. I would check the settings, volume, see if it is being called to restart, could be anything.

Good luck.

Ok, so after messing around with a few things I tried setting the volume lower than its max of one and for some reason it stopped doing it… Im not sure I will have to figure this out sometime later. Thanks for your help though!

Edit nevermind, thanks for the help though.

So, lowering the volume did it? It means that the file was clipping, the audio, volume level was exceeding the output limit.
