bake lights WITHOUT using GI

hello there.

in unity4 we had the option of baking lighting information without having to use GI.
how can we do that in unity5?

WHY?

i REALLY dont like the results im getting with GI in unity5.
in unity4, working with several light sources + AO + ambient light, I managed to get good/clean/fast lighting bakes on my scenes without needing GI.
i want to have that control again.

*right now i reduce the indirect resolution to 0 but the minimum seems to be 0,0001. this gives me faster bakes but horrible indirect blotches and leaks. if i crank the indirect resolution, the bake time just explodes and i never get a good enough result. and dont even get me started on that final gather option.

if you are not turning ON final gather and keep Default parameters under General GI at LowResolution it doesn’t take too long to compute

Two 2K maps takes around 10 minutes for a medium sized map in directional specular mode with tons of lights
The problem though is that they look not as good as they used to in 4.6
