Hello Guys, Im trying to bake the lightning in my scene with the ambient occlusion checked but seems that the “effect” is too weak, almost unnoticeable, I been trying to modify some values in my lightning configuration to improve it but nothing seems to affect the effect, The ambient occlusion is there but its not visible due the “weak” effect.
Can somebody please help me to understand how to configure it correctly in case im doing something wrong?
The Max Distance setting under Ambient Occlusion is set to to 0. That doesn’t make any sense - the rays shot to determine AO will never hit anything. Increase that. If the effect is still to weak, increase the Indirect Contribution and/or Direct Contribution sliders depending on the desired look.
According to unity’s documentation, if the maximum distance is set to 0, unity will use rays of infinite length for the calculation of the ambient occlusion, even so I did a new test setting them with a maximum distance of 15 and increasing indirect contribution to the maximum, even with all this the effect is practically invisible
