After adding more details a scene that involving a Worldspace UI that act as menus in my project, something unusual happened. Some of the point lights (set as “baked”) gets applied in a “Cube” way instead of “Sphere”.
And I mean all point lights shadows in the scene turned out this way.
It’s strange as the exact same light didn’t result as this at the beginning of the day.
As you can see, the zone I show in the first picture is the wall on the right, before I added new element.
I tried removing some of the baked lights (in case it was a conflict of some sort), moving them, adding the scene assets into a new scene, etc. But all now turn into that cube shadow thing.
Has anyone experienced something like this where, out of a sudden, point lights bake in a cube way instead a “sphere” way?
This is really some unlucky thing… I was planning on working on a Kickstarter campaign in the next couple of days and THIS happens NOW of all time…
I tried to take the same screenshot as the one “from before”, but with the problem.
(There’s no fire on the candle because it’s not in “play” mode.)
You can notice the strange “linear” shadows all around the place. Those are, for most, the exact same lights as the one above with the exception of 2 light sources added since then. (One is the candle displayed above and the other is a lamp further back.)
The problem didn’t appears after I added the 2 new lights source and I baked them previously and all was fine. The problem appeared after I moved an object and re-baked the lightmap.
