Hello everybody,
This is my first post, i just installed unity iphone on my brand new mac mni and i like it very much
Here’s my problem
i have a a ground model put into a scene and i added a rigidbody to the ground model without gravity.
i try to send a ball over it. i apply to the ball a transform 0,0,25. i also added a rigidbody, a certain mass and use gravity
when i throw the ball, it goes through the ground and keep falling. the y axis keep increase in the negative
am i doing something wrong or missed something? how can i make that the fall fall on the ground and roll on it?
any help much appreciated
Did you remember to add a collision component?
no, can you explain how to do that?
is it by script?
cheers
Select your object, then menu/component/physics and select an appropriate collider. You can do it with scripts too.
Check the manual for more details

ok, i’ll do that, thanks very much!
shall i add a collider only to the ball or also to the ground model?

The plane should have a collider (instead of the default a box collider is generally better).
The ball should have a sphere collider and a rigidbody (assuming you want gravity, etc) to act on it.
hi all,
thanks for the help
i added a mesh collider to the ground model as it is made of several boxes. i dont have to add a collider to each boxes as they are under the ground model in the hierarchy, right?
i added a rigidbody and a sphere collider to the ball.
but the ball keep falling down
any idea?
i solved the problem
adding a mesh collider to the upper model didnt work
it seems that i have to add a collider each box composing the model, is that right?
