Banner Ads and the iAd Network

I have just recently found out that the iAd Network is being discontinued, when I tried to generate an iAd Network contract in iTunes connect.

I am using an asset called iOS Native Plugin which I assumed hooks into the iAd Network, but since this is getting discontinued, what ad service would I use if not iAd Network, and how would I integrate it into my Unity project?

I don’t believe iAds are going away. I believe this effects the publishers more then the developers. As i understand it, iAds will work more like google Adsense than direct sales of iAd campaigns.

Can anyone confirm my understanding?

Thanks for responding. The clarity I was seeking was with current instructions on how to set up the iAd Network. There is a setup step in older documentation that mentions an iAd Network contract, and I saw no such thing. I was able to set up a contract for Paid Applications though, and iAd may be “collapsed” into that contract category.

Anyway, I simply implemented the client side with iOS Native Plugin, and the test ads seemed to appear, so I was at least happy that worked. However, I’m not sure if that’s all that’s necessary. I just think it’s strange that with both Google’s AdMob and Unity’s Ads, you have to specify “ad unit ids”, and I didn’t have to do that for iOS. That’s what confuses me.

Anyone have any ideas on this? I just published my app hoping that itunesconnect would have some ad interface other than iAd Workbench, but I still get the runaround when trying to sign up.
