I am putting together a surgical module using 3DS Max and Unity, but am still learning the latter through the many great tutorials. I would like for it to be interactive, so that the user can perform the surgery, with varying results based on their actions.
Is there any way to foresee (at this stage) what animation tracks I should create in 3DS vs. in Unity?
I’m having trouble understanding how much of the tracks will still be interactive once imported into Unity.
Am I right to assume that scripting refers to the behavior of a game object (whether imported or native to Unity3D) while the GUI and its corresponding script refer to the controls for the user playing the game? In other words, is scripting the code behind animation that can be applied in any 3D program, as well as Unity3D?
Finally, once an animation track is imported in from 3DS, can its script be changed in Unity?
Thanks so much for your help (whoever responds to this); I sincerely appreciate it. And please excuse my ignorance with what’s going on - I’m a total beginner.
