Hi,
After working my way through the manual i tried to create a simple world (terrain, fp controller and some trees sun).
It took me quite some time to find the obvious things like how do i prevent myself from falling through the world etc. And how do I make a Sun.
Perhaps it’s a good idea to create a small tutorial on how to create a basic world for experimenting.
And maybe it could be extended with small basic topics like how to create a lake. How to add an NPC (non playing character).
Currently the learning curve is a bit steep, it goes from the UI demo straith to advanced topic.
Have you tried this tutorials 3D Game Kit Reference Guide - Unity Learn ?
It has all the information you need in order to start learning Unity3D. However, I do think it was good you discovered certain things by yourself. In the end we have to experiment in order to learn
