BattleSquad (Retro 8Bit Turn Based Tactics)

Try it here and let me know what you think?

I got fatal error while trying to go through a door. That CRT filter is VERY oldshool. Simulating even screen curvature is going a little to far. Personally I never liked those 8-bit sounds either. When you make something “turn-based” you cut your potential popularity and least 10x. There is a reason why all popular 8-bit games were arcade games.

What browser/version did you use as I’m unable to recreate this bug?

Thanks for the additional feedback, I will add a CRT filter off option.

Has to be turn based for me as that’s where the strategy and tactics are.

Modern RTS games are just super fast click fests ruled by players with phenomenal hundreds of commands per a minute keyboard/mouse skills.

I use latest Firefox. I tried it in Chrome and got some fatal errors as well on turn end: “The error was: RuntimeError: integer overflow”

Cheers recreated it. It’s a know bug in 5.6 in WebGL Chrome and Firefox https://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/wasm-runtime-error-integer-overflow-slash-unrepresentable

No fix so far?!

Note it works in Edge fine.

Minor update added mission sizes small/medium/large and grenades.

Woks fine on Safari.

Not bad at all.
I would like to see the enemy move towards you when its there turn, perhaps auto scrolling the screen when they come in to view because sometimes you can be scrolled somewhere on the map and the action is happening elsewhere on the enemies turn.
Would also like to see enemy health above units heads.

Not a fan of the CRT filter.

Added enemy troops with ranged weapon, just a small step forward.
