Beginner exporting question from 3DS MAX into Unity

hello all…

okey so i think im not understanding something correctly…

basically i modeled nissan GTR car, and it looks fine when importing to unity…

but then when i want to texture it, the car stays white after importing it into unity…

here is how the car looks before rendering in 3ds max

can anyone just point me into right direction? im mostly using “car paint” and “autodesk solid glass” and “autodesk metal” for rims.

i think im missing something obvious here… baking of textures or what? im quite new to this… never did it before…

Those shaders do not transfer to Unity. Use the standard material to texture the car. In unity use a shader that has specularity to get the reflection/shine effect.

ok thanks… you got any more tips for beginner like me?

on how to get most realistic look for car?

oh well i need to find some tutorials somewhere

right now it looks… … bad

You could try this asst from the unity store.
