Hello everyone!
I am a totally new user who just got started with Unity a few days ago and I really want to create my own game. Can you guys give me some tips when learning Unity? Also do you guys have any simple game ideas for beginners like me? I want to start getting used to the user’s interface as well as learning new things about Unity and sharpen my C# skills. I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks and have a good day!
Hello, and welcome!
The standard (and good) advice is to work carefully through the tutorials you will find via the Learn link at the top of this page.
There are a lot of them — but do at least the introductory ones, and then follow whichever ones catch your interest.
Don’t worry just yet about creating a game of your own. Instead, have fun with the tutorials, and any one you particularly enjoyed, take it a bit farther: add new enemies, change the control scheme, add a score if there wasn’t one before, whatever.
As soon as your interest in that starts to wane, put it aside and do something else! There is absolutely no problem with filling your hard drive with half-done projects at this point, when your primary goal should be just to learn as much as you can.
(Actually finishing a project is a much harder thing to learn… but you need to build your skill set first anyway!)
Good luck and have fun!
