Beginner's questions

Hi,
i always wanted to programm a game but I never could find a good way to start and I think with unity I might success.

  1. ) Im from Germany and my English is not as good as it might should be, so are there some helps in German?
    2.) Here I have read something about Maya and wondered if I need a 3d Graphic programm. It depends on what I want to realize, right? At first I just want to get to know everything and then in the nearer future, I want to realize something like this cool Paradise game.
    3.) I never used JS but PHP and a few years ago I tried to learn C. Do you think, I will need long to learn JS?

1.) There are some German speakers around. Your English is pretty good though.
2.) Yes, you need a 3D program if you want to do anything. You don’t have to get Maya though; that’s a little expensive. :wink: You can get good 3D programs for much less, like Cheetah3D. Or Blender, which is free.
3.) If you already know how to program, then learning another programming language is not very difficult.

Hmm Reading a school book differs from reading a documentation about a specific theme…

Anyway I give it a try and see how far I get.
