Hi.
I have created tree in 3ds Max. It’s one mesh (everything attached) and I used Multi/ Sub- object material, but Unity still won’t let me put it into ‘painter’. I really wanted to be able to just paint with my trees, but I can live without it.
The problem is, that the painting tool also makes your trees bend (as far as I know) and that is something I really want. I can do without painting the trees, but I really want that bending effect. Does anyone know a way how to get this done?

The bending effect is part of the Terrain system. I’m not aware of a way to do it within Unity’s tools. However, there might be something in the Asset Store that would work (GeoPainter appears to allow you to paint on objects other than Terrain, and Mega-fiers allows for bending of meshes).

It looks like they both cost money… I need something for free you see… But thanks for help 
Also… To be honest, I don’t really understand why I can’t paint this tree… It seems like I have done everything that needs to be done…
