Hello all? I am creating mobile games and I have plenty of ios phones and computers to debug on but not droid. If my budget were lets say $1000, what would be 2-3 ideal devices(cell phones) to purchase for debugging purposes for Samsung? Also, since I will only be using these phones to debug and that the games will not really require an internet connection other than sharing highscores, would I be able to get away with purchasing phones from Amazon that are specified to a carrier or do they have to be unlocked? In other words do I need to purchase an unlocked phone to open the phone and test my applications or can I purchase a Samsung Galaxy from verizon(and be able to use its wifi) for example. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Buy pretty much anything if all you’re testing is your app without needing anything else. I debug on a J1 (my phone) and a Galaxy Tab s2. At work we have a nexus 5 phone, a nexus 7 and a nexus 9. Really, it’s a good idea to get a variety of devices with spec levels that vary and if possible, different OS, starting probably with 4.4, 5.x, and 6.x
