Best format for HDR environment map import

Hi all, I’m trying to use a 32bit /channel (floating point) environment map to use for lighting baked into real time light probes.

What are the best file format to use for Unity when dealing with HDR? I’m trying to use .hdr, but the Unity UI only gives me an option for 16bit (bit doesn’t explain which actual format that is)

What I would like is a file format that people know Unity will use as either RGBFloat:

Or RGBHalf:

Since the UI doesn’t seem to give you explicit control over the image format when importing.

Unity uses RGBM format for all imported .hdr and .exr textures.

The 16 bit format in texture format options is an RGB 5:6:5 bits per channel format or ARGB 4:4:4:4 bits per channel format. Unity doesn’t have default support for importing full 32 bit or 16 bit per channel textures uncompressed as this is rarely what people want for real time.
