I have a small team and we are working on a game in Unity. We use BitBucket.org for our remote repository… it has a built in web-based Issue Tracker, but I am finding it leaves a lot to be desired. Can any of you point me towards some free Bug Tracking tools that you have used and recommend?
Team foundation services (microsoft hosted tfs) is free for small teams.
You’ll need visual studio of a certain edition level to connect to it (i assume pro or higher?)
Redmine is really good. The best thing about it is, that it has forums, wiki, files database, version control repository browser etc. built in. That makes it a perfect HQ.
If you only need an issue tracker, I can just suggest you YouTrack. It is keyboard-centric and very easy to use. Installation is pretty easy: just start the jar-package on your server, everything else is automatic. You can see a demo of it at Jetbrain’s own tracker.
Depends what you need - check out Podio though, it’s not so much a bug tracking system - more an app framework. We use it for all of our bug/task management.
Check out www.trello.com, it’s a web based storyboard/card tool. It’s great for keeping track of tasks using draggable cards, and you can click on cards and comment on them, highly recommend it!
also you may try BugRem - The visual feedback tool for websites feedback wedges its easily installed and works smoothly. Effective and successfully way to manage users feedback and so grow your business.
