Best genre for breaking into 3D game making?

Show up to this point I basically stuck to tinkering with 2D games of various genres in order to learn how to use unity. But now I want to break into doing 3D games. But I’m not sure which genre of game is best to start making 3D games in? I assume platform is a good one but can you guys think of any others?
(Edit) Keep in mind I’m going to be making my own access for whatever I choose to do in order to get more practice and blend as well. It’s nothing too complicated in that department either

It’s not so much what kind of game you’re doing but that you keep going towards the things you don’t know how to do and learning how to do them.

I like how this guy just keeps asking “Can I… ?”

Imphenzia: How Did I Learn To Make Games:

I think any type of 3d game is going to have challenges that you’re going to have to learn to overcome. They’ll just be different from genre to genre. An isometric 3d game will have different requirements than one with an orbit camera.

What’s more important is scope, I would say. Starting smaller is likely more important.
