I’m working on a game I’d like to get the PR ball rolling but I don’t know where to send info about the game.
Any suggestions please?

Have a little search around the forums. There have been some nice “marketing” (search term) threads in here ever so often.
Would help to know what kind of game you are talking about and what target plaforms you have.
Also looking around google shows tons of resources specifically for marketing.
I fear if you contact these sites with a similar karma/energy they might not be as thrilled as you hope for.
Roll up your sleeves and get dirty ![]()
Good luck on your project !
Thanks for the reply. It’s a racing game on iOS and Android later.
I do have a lot of energy for the game, i think it’s going to be awesome but I didn’t feel the need to start shouting about in this thread.
I know I can search google but I was hoping for feedback from a more personal experience. ![]()
Theres two sticky threads at both the ios and android forums, I’m sure these serve as a good starting point:

Well, personal experience is personal experience. It’s tough to get on any major and more important sites these days,
due to the huge competition. So you need to do your homework ![]()
My advice to you is to make sure your game is in a near finished/polished state.
Many people looking at games in early alpha tend to forget it’s in ‘early alpha’ and think this is what the final game will look like.
So I’d suggest getting your game looking as good as possible before you get it previewed.
Thanks for the suggestions advice guys ![]()
Is your game released? If so send free gifts of the game to game reviewers that’s what all the big studios do. Not sure if you can gift your own game on ipad app store or the android market place but if you can offering a free game to lots of reviewers or at least one to each review sites means that most will play it they love free stuff and will try most stuff.
Also, put together a Media Kit. It makes things much easier for the reviewers and you (when contacting multiple sites).
Left 4 Dead has a good example you can download here. Its basically just a short description of the game, some screenshots, logos, game art, etc. Anything a reviewer might like to post on their site.
Also when you release your game advertise it advertise it advertise it(yes that was deliberate) like how khanstruct above has his game in this signature always advertise it. If its not released make a preview site showing off your soon to be released game and advertise that site. No one can buy your game or tell other people about your game if they do not know anything about it even if its just a preview.
Thanks guys, I’ll be advertising it more when I have a name for it! lol
