As a noobie of unity, I want to know what the best program for sprites is. Unity is good for 3d but to me, there is huge potential for 2d games here. Please let me know!
sprite manager or rage spline are good options

In the Tis the season for eggnog and giving there’s a new smite program. I don’t know if it’s the best, but its worth a look…
Also, if you are making sprite based games, go pick up a copy of Cosmigo’s Promotion, which works great for doing 2D sprite animations, colour cycling, and a whole bunch of other stuff that is dedicated to make sprite-based games.
