Best way to deal with text?

We all know how blurry and small the default Text component is, I obviously can’t work with that. So how do I deal with text? How can I actually change the size and font without making it even more blurry?

Typogenic doesn’t seem to be working and has some errors. Is there any way to do the simple task of changing text size and font without making it blurry without paying something ridiculous like $95? I don’t understand why Unity still hasn’t done anything about this.

Have you tried setting the Character to Dynamic on the font Import Settings? You then change the font size on the text object.

TextMesh Pro is the best $95 you’ll spend this year.

I don’t disagree, but the point is that OP asked for the best way to deal with text.

If you want a built-in way to do it, I’ve had some luck with the technique on Phillip Groarke’s blog post.: https://philippegroarke.com/2015/12/05/crispy-text-in-unity3d/
