Hello.
First a screenshot, so you have a picture in mind when reading:
Overview (planned features):
- A huge world with all kinds of areas (urban, suburb, rural, nature, etc.)
- Awesome oldschool slow moving zombies
- A nice set of weapons to fight the zombies
- Driveable vehicles (to kill zombies and faster travelling)
- Friendly and hostile survivors
- Camp building and management (main part of the game besides survival)
- Farming
- Levelsystem, Skills, Quests
World
- The world will be divided in zones
- Zones will be as big as the performance allows
- Travelling to other zones is possible at transition points only
- 2 Zones will always be connected by more than one transition point
NPCs
- Camps full of survivors for trading or do quests for
- Wandering groups of friendly or hostile survivors
- Single survivors who might want to join your group/camp
(Camp-)Building
This is a very important part of the game
- Gather all kinds of building material (destroy furniture, chop trees, or just find them somewhere)
- Barricade doors/windows or set up walls to block roads and secure a whole area
- Once you have a safe area you can make it a camp
- Tell members of you group to stay at one of your camps and do some work there (secure camp, grow food, do some research on new itens, produce item x, reproduce mankind)
But make sure the people in your camp are safe and have enough food and stuff if you dont want them to leave.
Other cool things
- Day/Night cycle
- Hunger, thirst and even tiredness
- Gun magazines dont fill magically when hitting the reload button. You need to fill the magazines yourself in a safe moment
- Noise System: The louder you are, the more zombies will hear you!
- Fall in love, marry and produce some new survivors
Long-term goals
- Attack other camps
- Solve the misteries of the zombie epedemic
- Build an army and rule the postapocalyptic world
- Rebuild civilization
- …
Maybe someone remembers my old project (which was similar to this one in some ways),
dont wonder if you see any graphics from there, they are just placeholders.
Sorry for the poor video quality and editing.
