Thanks for watching.

Wow you have some serious artistical talent. I’ve always been a fan of your work but this latest work must be the best you’ve done. Is that really the default Unity shaders at work? It’s really impressive regardless though.

@Aieth: Thanks for the kind words, Much appreciated! Yep, I used only Unity default shaders.

hello Jacal you did it again, great quality I’m impressed.
What kind of weather system did you use here?

Cheers

Norby

I’ve already commented on your youtube video but this is really cool!
I will buy it when/if I get money soon. :wink:

Just awesome. I thought your mobile pack was great too.
But for BEP4 could you do a scifi or modern pack? Everyone makes fantasy aimed assets. One of your packs with scifi assets would be amazing.

I was worried at first it wasnt going to have the same ‘epic’ feel to previous packs but this is spot on, very good work, i assume youre employed as an environment artist somewhere, its nice for everyone to get a chance at using some really top quality art for their own stuff. As an aside, while i didnt have any doubt the unity shaders would be fine for work like that (I think the obsession with fancy shaders gets a bit silly on this forum, most the time i dont even think the folk have the maps to drive them!), if you used any other systems and you dont mind saying, could you say what they might be? I think anyone who has seen your previous packs (must be most the people on this forum) knows what they’re getting, that was a very accomplished bit of art in the video itself amd it’d be educational to know how you got there. If it was all Unity then it confirms what I already knew, which was that people moaning about Unity’s graphics is absolutely nothing to do with Unity’s capabilities, and more to do with weak artists

As an aside, while i’m not remotely interested in scifi packs of assets as I think you can generally refactor just about anything into something sci-fi-ish, unless you want to go all out outlandish, i do agree with the above guy on having some contemporary or reasonably modern day things in one of your packs. It’s impossible for me to create all the art I need for something quickly enough to hit my deadlines for people and it’s left me a bit disappointed when something ends up not as good as it could have been and that’s never so relevant as when making any kind of scene based between now and 20-30 years ago, endless models for sci fi, fantasy too, a dearth for just plain old normal stuff, so i’ll second the request, understand it might be a bit boring for you too

Also, what textures are supplied with each model/asset? The typical diffuse and normal? I ask because i’ve been a bit spoilt lately with haing access to gloss/height/specular maps and so on so i’ve actually had the opportunity to properly use some more advanced shader techniques, and if i take to IBL as i’m just preparing to try out, and these packs finally start providing a ‘full’ set of textures for their assets, i would see it as plain silly to not try and save up to purchase them, esp in the case of the BEP packs which i’ve seen to be extremely high quality although i’d typically have no interest in the more overly fantasy-themed items. I like fantasy stuff, but it’s my fantasy stuff so I don’t think its something you can just plonk something from someone elses fantasy vision into

very nice, but i dont like having too many exposed rocks with openings

hopefully they can be moved to made different or removed…

@norby: I’m glad you like it, Thanks. It,s a new rain and thunder system created by brother Robin, that will be also included.
@GamehubDev: Thanks man !
@dreamlarp: Thanks for the suggestions ! maybe in the near future :slight_smile:
@lazygunn: Thanks for the positive feedback, I use for all buildings,props,rocks and cliffs the standard Unity BumpedDiffuse, The Unity Nature shader for the vegetation.
@im: Thanks, the pack is very modular you could just replace them with other rocks.

Woohoo a scifi by jacal. Now I’m happy.:smile:

Screenshots update:

Can’t wait to see this hit the store!

@chiapet1021: Thanks!

I wish the Building-construction-kit was scifi and modern military.

Waaaooo, thats another great environment pack Jacal !

It feels like i am playing Call of Duty game, especially rainy forest and night theme forest, I wish you continue the same environment pack volumes till 100 :slight_smile:

insta-buy :slight_smile:

Wow, very nice. Would be possible to prepare also textures for “yellow” desert alternative?

I gotta say, it’s super impressive.
When you create this pack, what was the minimum computer specs you have in mind?
