Big feedback after 4 days of use

Hi,

I use the editor on Linux since the official announcement. Today I want to share with you all bugs that I’ve encountered. I also written an article/tutorial about it on my blog (in French) to help all users to install and report bugs.

This is my long list of bugs

This is my configuration
CPU: Intel Core i5
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 750 - Binary drivers (latest 355-xx)
RAM: 8 Gb DDR3
OS: Kubuntu 15.10 x64 BETA - Kernel 4.1.0-3-SMP
Screen: Dual Screen (main to the left, second to the right)

Additional devices

  • Leapmotion (works on Linux, doesn’t work in Unity)
  • XBox Controller (Works in Unity)
  • Android device (Not tested yet)

I hope it’ll help you to improve the editor!

Thanks for the feedback and the blog post!

Can you provide a wav file where this happens, and details about the target platform?

How are you trying to use it from Unity?

Can you provide one of these as well?

Hi,

I’m glad if It can help. I’ll prepare a package with some wave files and obj models tomorrow. In fact I noticed that all my obj files are not imported.

About the Leapmotion, I have installed the drivers and the SDK, it works on my system by starting the deamon (leapd).
However I can’t use the plugin, there are too much errors. I don’t have my Linux system right now, but I’ll report all errors later.

Hi again,

This is one of my obj models that can’t be imported. Unfortunatly, I can’t reproduce the audio issue, it’s maybe an error during the first import. I can try to remove the Library folder and try to reimport the game to see all errors I have.

I know why the Leapmotion plugin doesn’t work, It’s not your fault, this is because the plugin don’t ship the libraries for Linux (pretty strange, how to deploy games with LM support on Linux?) Btw I’ll try to compile this dll and retry.

Thanks, we’ll check it out.
