I decided today to get out of the test scene, and make an actual level for my game. But I noticed that suddenly, there were all these gigantic shadows flickering in and out of existence whenever I rotate the view or pan around in the editor.
This isn’t visible when playing, but some object shadows do seem to be affected by this, as they also flicker.
I remember spotting this when the shadows of trees were flickering on a wall, but then I just thought it was a problem with the trees themselves.
Here’s a quick video I made recording it.
I can get rid of this by turning off shadows in the project’s Quality Settings, or changing the Shadow Distance. But i need both of those to stay since I obviously need shadows. Not to mention, all shortening the shadow distance does, is make it not appear from far away, but it’s still there if you zoom in close enough.
