Binary Details: Min OS Req

Good morning,

I was looking at the details for cubenaut this morning on itunesconnect, and under the binary details page, it says the minimum OS Requirement is 4.1.

I’ve had really low download rates for Cubenaut, much lower than I expected for releasing it as a free game. Would anyone mind pulling this section up for some of your recent games and telling me what the minimum os req is set to? I don’t know if I’m limiting my market through this, or just grasping at straws.

Unrelated to the subject but in line with my overall goal of getting people to play my game :slight_smile: I’m trying to find ways to shrink the binary. I have a few materials, and I could probably eliminate a couple by properly skinning my character (I just applied a material with a texture to each of the 5 poly groups that make him up.)

Is this worthwhile? How much space does each material take up?

The minimum must at least be set to 3.0, where you set it exactly depends on what you use. if you use iAd for example you need 4.0 at least. GameKit requires 3.0, gamekit with wifi adhoc, requires 3.1.x at least …

As for how much space textures take: select them, then the import dialog shows the amount they take more or less
