Help please.

Installed Unity 5.3.0f4 (32-bit) on Windows 10 machine.

When running the program the Unity splash screen appears and then the window opens but is black and nothing happens.

RESOLVED

Found a solution on another thread. Just tried it and works perfectly

i have fixed it jus write in run %APPDATA% and delete unity also unistal it from pc and reinstall it it should works :smiley:

DIdn’t help me. I have only packages folder and package.json file in there, nothing else.

what worked:

  • going and downloading an “older”
    version of Unity, which can be found
    on Unity’s site:
  • Download Archive
  • I replaced my Unity Download Manager with the Unity 5.6.7f1 version, and then reinstalled Unity, and it worked fine!

what didnt work:

  • reinstalling Unity using the download
    manager on my system, after
    completely wiping it out

  • reinstalling node (as the home screen
    of unity is written in node)

  • neither of these approaches worked
