Black zones in baked lightmaps

Hello,

I’m trying to bake the AO in the lightmaps, and have many bugs, in the form of full black zones in some places.

My objects have the “generate lightmap UVs” box checked in the import setting. Using Unity5 patch1, deferred path, standard shader, PC, DX9, gamma colorspace.

Here’s a shot with the bug visible (the crate in the bottom left part), my lighting settings in the right part, plus a second shot with the baked view.

Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Update: I’ve checked the lightmaps in Photoshop, and can see some random dots, like a noise pattern. I’m pretty sure this is the problem. Is there a way to fix this?

similar issue here, just not with faces but with whole objects. Filed a bug report a while ago and seems to be in the progress of being fixed. Hope for a fix soon.

it was 672989.

@bakanekofr please file a bug report on the random dots issue. It looks unrelated to the case 672989 that @essimoon2 reported.
Both of your issues with black spots might be related to lightmap UV generation, but the random dots looks like a different case.

Thanks, but actually I don’t have that issue anymore. Cleared the cache, and played a bit with the parameters, no more problems so far.

@bakanekofr : Can you share what parameters you are using for baking? I am also getting those random dots and I can’t seem to find a way to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.
