The Action node gets a custom class reference and assign to the Agent variable registered in the Blackboard asset. As you see the below image, the Action was successful so I assume that the reference is assigned in that Blackboard variable. However, Blackboard does not show its current value of variables at runtime.
I would love to use the same way as the rule in Unity Inspector. The serialized variables in Unity Inspector have a higher priority than C# code ones, so the value in Inspector is used at runtime. If the value is changed at runtime, I can check it in Unity Inspector right away. When play mode is stopped, the originally registered value is displayed again.
If it cannot work in the same way as Unity Inspector, if the person who changes the graph logic is a product planner or tester, it is expected that the developer’s help will be required every time a problem occurs.
Improved debugging and showing the values in the graph while debugging is planned for next year. Unfortunately we couldn’t fit it before our release date and we are looking to add many debug features in 2025. Please let us know what’s your debugging wishlist so we can try and provide it as we’re still finalising our features
