Blank project.

This is starting to get on my nerves.

I’m on the left the Unity tutorial I’m trying to follow is on the right. See where my images are supposed to be? It has them replaced with empty white images. I don’t want that. This has to be something stupid that I’m doing.

Click on one of them and show the inspector. Kind of looks like you haven’t set those images to Sprites, or you’ve changed the format to Alpha8 or something. Show the whole inspector window top to bottom for one of those images.

I don’t know what Alpha8 is. Is it related to why I can only get 2 out of 3 objects to display themselves?

Man, this is really messed up. Now I can’t even have sprites with transparency. Could you point me to the correct tutorial that covers sprites and their transparencies?

Err… I forgot to try Gimp. It’s downloading.

Ummm… OK, I forgot everything I need to know. Check out this screenshot.

I’ll start again some other day. Most likely tomorrow.

Well, in some of your screenshots, it looks like the thumbnails for the images were appearing correctly. But then in your final screenshot, the thumbnails are white again. Do the images under “shots” have different settings than those under “player”?

If you’re using some art assets from the tutorial, which it seems you are, you shouldn’t need to edit those in Gimp. They should have transparency on their own, unless you did something weird like open them in another image editor and saved a copy of them.
