Blender 2.5 to Unity 3 - Precautions?

What are the precautions I should take when creating and animating a character in Blender 2.5, and then importing the .fbx to Unity 3?

The one I have right now isn’t working. It shows all of the actions in the project panel, but it will only play 1 frame of the idle animation.

i use blender 2.5 with no problems. did you add the animation(s) after importing the file in the fbx converter settings in the inspector? if you dont, you import the animations but do not use them. you need to click the (+) button to add an animation, name it, set the start and end frame and the wrap mode, then hit apply. only then unity actually knows how to play your animation
