Hi together !
Models made in blender (2.49) have a strange look:
How can this be?
It doesnt matter witch shader i use, same problem.
I could notice that these strange shadows follow the edges of the model. Is this a hint?
If I export the model as fbx the same problem accour.
But if the model is exported in .obj you cant see this problem.
Thank for any help!

You need to change the “Calculate Normals” setting in the Importer in the Inspector. Right now the all of the edges on the mesh are smoothed out.
Antenna is right: your model is all under the “phong” effect, while you need flat faces.
Just allow Unity to calculate normals and set angle to something bigger than 45 (just to be sure all your house will be flat) or in Blender you must set up what are “smoothing groups” in Max and “hard edges” or “soft edges” in Maya, I don’t know how it works in Blender.
Yes! It worked! Thanks alot!

I will check the settings in blender. Maybe i can fix it in blender instead of using “calculate normals”.
Could you send me your mesh? I would like to see if it’s possible to do anything about it in Unity (this looks more like a problem in FBX exporter in Blender).
