Blender Textures... In Blender

Okay i just had to put this here because at the blender forum nobody answers…

So anyways…

…I made a model and put a UV texture on it edit in Paint.net Saved it at .PNG put it on my model and when i exported as .FBX into Unity3D the UV texture didnt show…

…Im guessing it was something in Blender because the texure only shows in the “Texture Paint” menu.

How do i apply it to make is show when i render it using F12?

Thanks In Advance

Did you load the texture in unity as its own asset and then apply it to the model?

I think you must bake it before it renders to the model in blender.

I didnt load the texture into unity was i suppose to?

and how do i bake it?

To bake in blender hit f10 and find the bake tab after you do that your texture should show when you render.

In unity you must load the model as a new asset then load your texture as a new asset.
After both are loaded find you model in you project window and you will be able to add the texture to the model.

i press the f10 it makes my model look all shiny and i couldnt find the bake tab where is it located?

EDIT: There i got it to work all thanks

But i have another question Do i just use the .FBX to export an animation with blender?

What version of blender do you use? I use 2.49b and everything can be brought into unity as a .blend file. I’m not sure if they have fixed support for that yet in 2.5 +. If not you will have to export it as something else and unity does support .fbx.

Im using 2.57.1

And the animations i wanted was for a character the 3rd person view controller
