Hi
Every time when I unwrap a model in blender an then import in unity I have a problem with the material. If I use an material with a image then it look like a fragmented picture on the model. How can I avoid that?
And yeah I’m working with Blender 2.49b.
I think it’s probably hard to understand what I mean therefore I have here two images:

Thanks.

hi, how are you exporting your mesh?.. uv + material? if in that case, is recommended that you create the material in unity, only export the mesh with uv map… did you tried with obj, 3ds or fbx formats…?
greetings.
I save my model as a blender file, and then I drag the file into unity. So in blender I unwrapped it before.
Yes I tried this. I didn’t make unwrap so it can’t have an uv. But then I can’t add a textured material in unity. So maybe it works with a diffuse material but I wanna a bumped specular material, and then it gives my an one color model.
just remember that specular or bump uv map is a copy of diffuse uv… you would not to worry about creating an uv in blender, unity creates it automatically… btw … is weird what happening to you… what could happen if you change to blender 2.57 ?..hmm
Hmm yeah but it doesn’t wok neither.
What can be better in blender 2.57?

you can use new exporter script, fbx is highly enhanced… i’m using it and it works great
Ok.
Thanks.
But I’ve heard that I can’t use Blender 2.57 in Unity.
How do you do that?
You can use Blender 2.57. You simply need to do what woodn describes here: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/85753-Blender-2.57?p=559189&viewfull=1#post559189. There are no issues, as long as you do that once.
Ok.
Thanks.
I’ll test it soon.
