Hey, all,
I realise there have been loads of questions asked about Blob-Shadow projectors before, but I couldn’t find an answer to this one, but knowing would help me out a lot!
If I make the projector for my blob-shadow massive so it covers the entire world, will that have a bigger performance impac than it would if it was a small shadow?
That’s all!
Cheers,
SB
If the material has transparency, then definitely. More transparent pixels = slower.
not sure what you’re trying to achieve though.
The material I’m projecting, you mean?
With the blob-shadow projector shader, white doesn’t show up, so couldn’t I just bypass any problems with this by making any transparent areas I’d like to see in my “shadow” into white pixels?
Cheers,
SB.
p.s. It’s not for a shadow - it’s for a true projector, so the image “projects” all over the world…
