so I got this space game were you are stuck in a solar system and need to survive, however one thing I really need and have no clue to do is this:
Lets say we have Block A, and Block A can move with the arrow keys, the moment the user places a block against block A and block A moves Block B (the placed block) does not, so what I need is the moment the block is placed it will become a child of whatever block it is placed against. So that when block A moves, block B does aswell but when I place a block against block B that block moves aswell when A moves.
Just to make sure, let’s say you have A, B, C. Say that if A is the left-most block, B is placed to its right, and then C to the right of B. You’d like it so that if A moves, B and C both do so as well, or only B?
Also, is block B able to influence the movement of block A?
I want every block that is either attached to A, or attached to a block that is attached to A to move when A does, so for Example, block A is the most right block, 3 blocks get placed, B gets placed against A, C gets placed against B, and D gets placed against C, the only block that can move on its own is A, so the other blocks can only influence themselfs, so if I move B only B moves (however B wont be moved) but if i move A then every block will move, I guess it might be possible with raycast + childobject or trigger events maybe? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37YkhcRxfSo
Hete is a link that sort of shows what I want
