Blocky textures (model?)

I’m having an issue where an imported model is partially blocky and I’m not sure why. I made sure that the model was smooth in maya, and after exported into an FBX it is still smooth.

Any idea what could potentially cause this?

Are you sure all that your normals are facing the right direction? You may have some quads with flipped normals. Do you have any split vertexes that need to be welded?
