Blog post reactions (likes/dislikes)

Hi, some time ago I added a comment to Unity blog post asking about comment reactions feature. As I’m afraid I wasn’t heard by Unity, I’m creating a Forum Thread too.
I the comment I was asking if it’s possible to add likes/dislikes to the comment sections of blog posts? A lot of the readers have Unity accounts, which could be used to make our reactions. I think it would benefit the community.

I personally (my opinion, I know it might not be popular) think blog posts should have comments removed entirely, as most comments dont make unity look good and the blog posts are public facing. I think instead a forum section for blog post discussion should be made, which has a thread added each time a blog post is made that allows discussion of that post.

That way at the bottom of big AEC posts and other posts tailored to professionals you wouldnt have a ton of new users saying " I can barely make a cube move!" which to be honest, does not help when trying to show the public that unity is a mature engine used by professionals.

It would also mean I dont have to read people complaining about the dark theme or whatever flavor of the month is popular, under every other post.

Why ruin it for everybody? Just don’t read the comments if you are struggling to tolerate people with opposing view points.

Did you actually read what I said?

At no point did I say I have a problem with their viewpoints.

I said a lot of what gets said on there hurts the public image of unity, and I think the discussion should be moved to a place that better suits it such as a forum (which has the features for discussion required to do it properly - blog comments suck compared to the forums functionality).

The end bit about the dark theme its not the viewpoint that is the issue its the repeating it again and again without moderation, well lets be honest it gets said on so many blog posts now, and on the forums it would be considered derailing and would be closed, but on comments its just the wild west. The forums are just better suited in general to discussion than the bottom of a blog post. They also have better moderation.

Its the same the other way, why ruin the discussion for everybody else and say the same thing again and again on the bottom of most blog posts?
