Blood effect

Hello, I got a script where I have a gun/shotgun/ pistol and I want when I shoot at my enemy, the blood particle appears for a second… Now I have and easy idea where when I shoot him blood PREFAB appears for a half a second or how long it is and dissapears… So its like enable/disable thing but with countdown…How to do it…asking because I am not really a big expert

Particle system have property called duration.GameObject.Destroy method have argument called duration. Hmm…
